Patient Feedback

At SickKids, we care about your experience and want to hear from you. Patient and Family Relations provides a safe space for you to provide feedback, such as concerns, questions, suggestions, or compliments, about your care experience.

We encourage you to share your feedback with your care team (doctor, nurse, social worker, etc.) or a manager before contacting Patient and Family Relations. They may be able to address your feedback right away. Should you require further support, we are here to help. Our goal is to ensure that your feedback, both positive and negative, is heard and used to improve the care we provide at SickKids.

How to contact us

When contacting us, please provide the patient’s name and date of birth to help our specialists begin their review process.

You can request alternative formats or communication supports by completing our Alternative Format Request Form. You can also email accessibility.questions@sickkids.ca or call 416-813-7654 ext. 228315.

What you can expect when working with us

We are team of specialists dedicated to providing you with an efficient and supportive experience. When you contact us, here’s what you can expect:

  1. We will confirm receipt of your message within 3 business days.
  2. A specialist will be assigned to your case and will connect with you to hear more about your feedback.
  3. The specialist will keep you updated as they communicate with the appropriate teams and review records to better understand the situation.
  4. The specialist will work with you and your care team to determine next steps and once complete, will share with you a summary of the review.

Patient & Family Experience Survey

You may get an email from experience@survey.sickkids.ca, asking you to complete a survey about your recent experience (e.g., clinic appointment, procedure, or hospital stay) at SickKids.
